Description Under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or other designated management, functions as a clinical nurse for assigned Nursing care area with responsibility for the delivery of the individualized effective care. Functions as the clinical resource for nurses on their unit and other units based on patient needs. Must maintain a unit wide perspective of nursing care requirements. Act as a preceptor for new nurses assigned. Actively involved in unit operations, decisions making and charge nurse role. Demonstrates strong working knowledge of interdisciplinary planning, as well as related behaviors, needs, comfort and range of treatment appropriate to the age and diagnosis of patient served to patient/family involvement, and the collection of data related to nursing care concerns. requires leadership in order to provide constructive feedback to patient care. Also participates in unit based decision making and support changes made. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written in order to establish and maintain positive therapeutic/working relationships with all internal and external customers.
