Ensures food production and delivery for patient meal services adheres to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies and procedures.
Recommends, implements and adheres to approved operating goals, objectives and budget.Reports on operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.
Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
Manages resources including supplies, equipment, space and information.
Develops and maintains inventory controls to ensure adequate supplies on-hand.
Monitors and maintains calibrated equipment.
Ensures maintenance and integrity of conventional and computer-aided records and information
Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities and makes recommendations for improvement.
Performs related duties, as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Food Service Management or related field, required.
ServSafe, HACCP or related food safety certification, required.
Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible food service and hospitality experience, to ensure familiarity with food delivery, production, and management of staff, required.
