Willow Springs Center is looking for a Utilization Review Manager.Â This is an internal UHS posting only.
The purpose of this position is to collect and compile the clinical documentation necessary to provide evidence for the necessity of a course of treatment and present that documentation to referral sources and payor representatives.
The UR Manager continues the work started by the Business Development Department and the A & R Department.Â As they ensure clinical evidence is provided for patient treatment, they also ensure the revenue flow necessary for payment for these services.Â By advocating for patient care, they are also advocating for sustainability for the Center.

Sets realistic expectations for Utilization Review Staff. Â Communicates expectations in such a way that Staff members have a clear understanding of performance expectations.
Gives consistent feedback with the goal of improving performance.
Develops and documents coaching and corrective action for the employee file.
Utilizes various resources to promote employee development.
Maintains appropriate boundaries with employees; understands impact of employee relationships.
Recommends departmental policies as necessary and implements a plan to review, update, and communicate new policies and changes to existing policies.Â Stays abreast of all changes to regulatory mandates and informs subordinates of changes.Â Implements training programs to ensure employees know, understand, and practice in accordance with all Facility protocols and regulatory mandates
Implements various training programs to ensure adequate skill levels of employees; employs mechanisms to ensure skills are anchored in the workplace.
Understands departmental and Facility goals; communicates goals clearly and assists employees in developing goals and action plans that align with department and facility goals.
Serves as the first level of appeal in the dispute resolution process for Utilization Review Staff. Â
