Summary of Job Function: Under the direction of the VP, Southern Region Business Development & Director, Project Management at MMC Business Development Division, the scheduler/receptionist will operate, manage and support the BHMG Medical Group Overtime Unable to Contact Call Back Project to increase the scheduling rate. The key responsibilities include but not limited to (1) Calling patients that were unable to be contacted by LINK Call Center during afterhours (between 4pm-7pm) to confirm if he/she would like to have their radiology imaging testing done at one of the RWJBH facilities (2) Schedule appointments using established RWJBH outpatient imaging scheduling process. (3) Collaborate with LINK Call Centers, pre-authorization team and other stakeholders to facilitate appointment scheduling for the patient. (4) Update and document order dispositions in tracking platform. (5) Track and monitor project outcomes. He/she will perform under the concepts of the High Reliability Organization guidelines and is also responsible for reporting, identify safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
Job Qualifications: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience as a coordinator in health related field is preferred.
Medical group working experience and familiar with RWJBH outpatient imaging scheduling process is preferred.
Must possess excellent organizational, time management, strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong sales skills and excellent communication skills required.
Proficient in Windows-based computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
