The Operations Manager, Careworks provides management of all activity in the Careworks clinic sites as well as supporting all initiatives throughout the Careworks Service Line. He/she is responsible for the operational accountability for assigned areas and develops a cooperative and supportive relationship with clinical departments, chairperson, vice-president and administrative staff; develops an effective relationship with Directors, VP and other member of the management team throughout the Geisinger System. He/she serves as department liaison with outside constituents and as an active participant in assigned management forums. Oversees the process to develop, revise and audit all department policies associated and ensures clinic compliance with all mandated regulations set forth by JCAHO, DOH and Infection Control guidelines. He/she is responsible for patient safety and performance improvement.
The Manager serves as an active participant in the development and implementation of strategic, tactical and business plans (i.e. budgets, facilities and capital analyses, market analyses, growth plans, operational contingency plans, information systems) and serves as liaison to all departments and staff in resolving facility concerns.
The Manager is accountable for creating and maintaining standards, operational activities and performance measurement tools that meet operational and market needs in operational efficiency, quality, access and patient satisfaction.
The Manager is responsible for financial performance; developing, submitting and managing budgets, for all Careworks clinic sites and initiatives, managers human capital and reviews unit operations to determine areas for increased efficiency and determines action plan for such; educates employees in the need to develop a cost-conscious approach to quality care and /or service delivery.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in nursing, healthcare, business or related field required. Master's Degree in business or related field preferred.
Minimum of three to five years of business-related experience required. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory and/or management experience in a healthcare setting required. Physician relations experience required.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Frequent, long distance travel is required.
